William C. Davis

William Davis writes prolifically on the Civil War and has been an editor of American History Illustrated and Civil War Times Illustrated. He was a consultant on The Blue and the Gray television miniseries and the historical consultant on The History Channel’s Civil War Journal. His many writings include biographies of Jefferson Davis and John C. Breckinridge, The Battle of New Market, Duel between the First Ironclads, Battle at Bull Run, The Orphan Brigade, The Image of War, The Imperiled Union, Civil War Parks, and Touched by Fire. He lives in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
